WIKA Instrusment, LP is growing and changing how process instrumentation is sold. We are looking for strong sales individuals that have the ability to seek out new customers while having the ability to grow current customer relationships.  This will be done by using a repeatable process that has been developed and a work force that is motivated and determined to be the best there is at what they do.  This individual will sell directly to end users with in the process industry to maximize the revenue of a given territory. This person will need to have a deep knowledge of Instrumentation in order to be successful. The person that is in this role will manage current direct customer as well as go out and locate, secure and grow new customers.   If you are this type of individual we are looking for you. Industrial Sales Manager - Midwest Area

Essential Functions

  • Develop and articulate compelling business cases to diverse buyers’ tables.
  • Develops strategic plans for penetration of existing and new accounts.
  • Filter pool of targets and leads, prioritize qualified targets and develop execution plan for successful prospecting, hunting and selling.
  • Understand major market trends to align WIKA value propositions to stated and unstated customer needs
  • Promote Value Innovation Workshops.
  • Establish new customer relationships by presenting WIKA as a technical consultant for OEM solutions.
  • Grow existing spend of customers with WIKA.
  • Cross-sell full WIKA portfolio.
  • Provide leadership support to cross-functional teams consisting of product and application specialists, engineers, account managers, and supply chain experts during major retention, penetration, acquisition sales activities.
  • Initiate and participate in continuous improvement efforts related to sales
  • Develop strategic plans for retention of existing accounts.
  • Provide market feedback, and advise on strategy and product development for key markets and customers to Market Segment Management and Marketing teams
  • Enable full transparency to sales efforts via CRM by updating accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities in a timely and thorough manner
  • Maintain up-to-date and adequate pipeline to meet goals.
  • Participate in National, Regional, and local trade shows File monthly sales report, advance itinerary, and expense reports on a timely basis. 
  • Utilize WIKA sales process tools. Travels 80% to assigned geographical territory which typically includes 2-3 states.  
  • Assists other WIKA team members in customer support.

Minimum Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical including Engineering.
  • Would consider an A.S in Business or Technical field, and 10+ years’ experience.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in sales/marketing/engineering in B2B industrial environment.
  • Experience in Fluid power, industrial or instrumentation related fields preferred.
  • Strong track record of success.
  • Knowledge of Sensor technology preferred.
  • Highly computer literate (MS Office and CRM software).
